Appeal for Information Following Suspicious Incident

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information following a report of suspicious activity that occurred at Weedling Gate, Stutton on 22nd July 2026.

It was reported that a male walked onto a residential driveway and attempted to enter a garage. The individual was disturbed by a family member before gaining access and subsequently left the location.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could assist enquiries.

Residents are also reminded to ensure garages, sheds and outbuildings are kept secure and to report any suspicious behaviour to the police.
